If you watch the NOVA show on PBS, you may have spotted one of our Model 336 temperature controllers on Wednesday night (October 30th, 2013).
The NOVA episode "Making Stuff Colder" is part of a four-part NOVA special airing. This episode explores how "the scientists and engineers who are plunging to the bottom of the temperature scale" are creating cutting-edge cold science that helps with the treatment of trauma patients and other technological innovations. Lake Shore’s controller appears at the 34:10 mark when host and New York Times technology columnist David Pogue witnesses a liquid helium demonstration by University of Houston researcher Melissa Gooch.
We were pleased to see the popular NOVA show explaining cold science in a fun and educational way that the general public can appreciate.
