Read our app brief on the M81-SSM’s seamless autoranging technique

Traditional autoranging techniques often suffer from time and gain correction discontinuities, discouraging users from utilizing autoranging techniques in favor of smooth yet noisier measurements.

seamless-autoranging-technique-coverThat changes when you use our M81-SSM synchronous source measure system with its voltage measure (VM-10) module. The patented processing algorithm allows you to collect low-noise data with smooth transitions across four decades of voltage ranges. This way, you get quality data without the gaps, glitches, or discrepancies that occur with traditional autoranging implementations.

To learn more about this capability and how the M81-SSM utilizes a unique hardware architecture as well as a mixing digital interpolation algorithm to ensure continuous data acquisition during measurements, read our new application brief, “Seamless Autoranging Using Dual-Active Simultaneous Ranges.”

The patent relating to seamless ranging is just one of three patents we currently hold for the system. We also have a patent relating to the system’s MeasureSync™ technology and its overall sampling/updating architecture and a patent relating to the system’s voltage source (VS-10) module and its dual DC/AC range sourcing capability. You can read about these technologies in our earlier blog post.
