Lake Shore scientist elected to CSA technical board

We are happy to hear that Dr. Scott Courts, Lake Shore Applications Scientist, has been named a member of the Board of Technical Directors for the Cryogenic Society of America (CSA). He was elected by the society's membership, with election results certified at this week’s Applied Superconductivity Conference (ASC) in Denver, and will take office in January.

scott_courts-headshotDr. Courts joined Lake Shore Cryotronics in 1989 and is currently responsible for maintaining Lake Shore’s traceable thermometry scales. He has been active in the field of cryogenics for more than 30 years, and for the CSA, he has taught short courses on cryogenic thermometry and instrumentation at past ASC and Cryogenic Engineering Conference/International Cryogenic Materials Conference (CEC/ICMC) meetings.
